Binatone offers Bluetooth-friendly GPS at Tesco

Binatone is one of those tech names you remember from your childhood, always knocking out cheaper versions of the latest gadgetry. And it is still doing it with the C350BT PND, available from Tesco.

The device packs a SiRF Atlas III chipset, 3.5-inch touchscreen, postcode search, 2D/3D mapping, UK and Ireland maps, safety camera locations and points of interest. There’s also a picture viewer (via SD card) and Bluetooth connectivity for your phone.

If you want one, it’s available from Tesco for £99.99.

TomTom already has iPhone navigation software ready to roll

Dutch navigation device maker TomTom already has a version of its navigation software running on Apple’s iPhone and has plans to sell it to consumers, a spokesman said on Monday.

“Our navigation system runs on the iPhone already,” the TomTom spokesman said after Apple announced a new version of the iPhone that will include global positioning (GPS) capability.

The spokesman did not say when TomTom, Europe’s biggest maker of car navigation devices, would be ready to start selling the software.

HTC just announced a sharp looking business phone called HTC Touch Pro. Most of the specs of HTC Touch Pro is similar to HTC Diamond but it is only slightly thicker which probably is due to the 1350mAh battery that is almost twice as big as Diamond’s. More pictures here

Mio launches a new phone Leap K1 featuring built in GPS and dual-face design,at Computex 2008. Just like the Samsung F300 or iPone, one side of the Leap K1 has a smaller screen with the usual mobile phone function. The other side of the phone is a big screen for GPS navigation and multimedia uses.

The Mio Leap K1 support GSM Triband Network (900/1800/1900MHz), it has a built-in 20 channel GPS receiver with pre-installed MioMap 2008 software. The MioMap 2008 can be activated with the 2.6-inch touch screen, it support car or pedestrian navigation mode for different needs. The maps data can be stored in the microSD card storage.

Here are some better pictures on our hands thanks to the Chinese site pconline.com.cn.The strongest point of this Samsung i900, is its 3.5″ touchscreen with a new 240×400 resolution (WQVGA), instead of the usual 240×320 resolution (QVGA).Samsung i900 will integrate a 5MP digital camera - a first for a Windows Mobile device with 16GB of memory. The i900 will have quadband GSM, 3G, and HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps. Of course you still have your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.2 EDR. The battery will be 1500mAh, and you’ll have microSD port, and FM radio. Mio Leap K1 is now official

Mio Leap K1 is now official,still the details are not clear but we know it’ll be displayed at the 2008 Computex show in Taiwan - June 3rd to June 7th.

JC Hyun Systems has released its in-dash car navigation device ‘RunZ CI-7100′ in Korea market, which features an enhanced audio function.RunZ CI-7100 is equipped with MMSPII+ CPU for enhanced video playback, it supports CMSS-3D and 24-bit Crystalizer function of ‘X-Fi Audio Processor’ offered by co-working with Creative in Singapore.

As a built-in navigation system, the CI-7100 adopted 17.7cm(7-inch) widescreen LCD and supports tilt function for users to watch T-DMB or DVD more conveniently.

Additional features included dual SD memory card slot, USB host 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, rear camera, and more.

XPIN to launch its in-dash 6.95-inch DMB navigation

Dae Kyung EMD expects to launch its in-dash DMB navigation ‘XPIN TX-8000′ in Korea market in early June.

XPIN TX-8000 comes with a 6.95-inch WVGA display with 800×480 resolution and runs on a PXA320 Marvell processor at 806MHz. The GPS navigation software comes from Mappy.

Other features of XPIN include 3D view, day and night mode to adjust screen brightness automatically, T-DMB receiver for watching digital TV, and picture-in-picture capability. As far as entertainment there’s the DVD player, radio, audio player, and even photo viewer. To make moving things around easier this in-dash GPS navigation system also includes a USB host
