Archos selling GPS accessory for 605 WiFi PMP
Archos revealed a special in-car holder for its Archos 605 WiFi portable media player line, called Archos GPS In-Car Holder and you’ll find it pricing around $130.
The Archos GPS In-Car Holder has the actual GPS functionality built into it, using the 605 WiFi as an interface for viewing maps and navigation functions. The holder connects to the car windshield and the PMP is put into the holder. Built-in line out lets you create a “full voice and video navigation system.”
Features of the Archos GPS In-Car Holder include Tele Atlas maps that cover both the U.S. and Canada, points of interest markers, automated simulation inside tunnels, lane assistance, advance street signs, fast route recalculation and planning, speed control and voice prompted direction. It is available now.
