Goodyear GY130/GY135
Goodyear revealed new items.The GY130, will include a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen along with three million points of interest (POI), a SiRF GPS receiver, turn-by-turn directions and 3D view. The GY135, will add Text-to-Speech capability, being capable of speaking out street names. The GY145 will up the touchscreen size to 4.3 inches but bring little else in terms of features and specs. Decidedly higher-end models include the GY340 and GY440, both with 4.3-inch touchscreens and a remote control. They will both include 14 million POIs as well as the ability for users to create their own. They will support Bluetooth devices for handsfree phone calls and music streaming, in addition to a built-in MP3 player. Either will also be able to sync contacts with Microsoft Outlook. Only the GY440, however, will include a 12-month subscription to MSN Direct that will give users access to current news, weather, stocks and other information. MSN Direct will be an option on the GY340.

The GY130 will be priced at $180 when it launches in time for the holiday season, while the GY135 will be just $10 dearer. The GY145 will cost $250 and also be available in time for the holidays. The more upscale GY340 and GY440 are due for a March ship date, priced at $350 and $500, respectively.

Here is a UMPC from Korea called UMID F1.This 7-inch, 800 x 480 LCD touchscreen PC sports HSDPA and WiMAX connectivity, a VIA C7-M 1.2GHz processor, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a GPS receiver, DMB TV tuner, FM tuner, a remote control and Windows XP Home. Available with 512MB or 1GB memory and up to 60GB storage, this machine is currently on sale in Korea. No word yet on pricing.

Holiday season is fast approaching and we only have few days left before celebrating the season. We are preparing everything that we need for the season and that should include the settings for our mobile phones. Our mobile phone is the first of all our devices that we can set to fit the season. Trumpion is a brand from the U.K. that has a few GPS navigation systems and one of those happens to be an in-dash unit called TR-D05 Satellite Navigator.
It uses the usual 7″ touch screen with a 480×234 pixels resolution, accepts AUX signal inputs and can be configured to use a parking sensor.
TR-D05 comes with Route 66 maps of Europe and UK, can do postal code search, provide voice instructions, and just like most other in-dash systems supports various multimedia formats such as VCD, CD, MPEG4 (DIVX), WMA and JPEG.
Other features include:

GPS navigation gadgets maker TeleNav has officially released its new GPS navigation system known as the Shotgun in the U.S. Telenav Shotgun has a wide 4.3″ touch screen, built-in speakers, audio jack, and rechargeable batteries. Telenav Shotgun costs $300 but of course that are monthly fees involved. $12/month, or $129/year, or $240/2 years (but first 3 months is free). The last business that tried this didn’t last very long so we’ll have to wait and see how Telenav does in the hardware business.

Ntv46 multimedia navigator is the latest from NCSNavi from Taiwan. It is a navigation system and DVB-T TV receiver packed into a good looking form factor that includes a 4.3″ TFT LCD touch screen and an embedded speakers for audio.

Other specs include a MediaTek GPS receiver, 400MHz Samsung processor, WinCE 5.0 OS, 2300mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, and an SD card slot expansion that supports SDHC cards.
We’ll check them out at CES 2009 for you and see if they strike any deals with distributors here in the U.S.

Here is a mini notebook with a 5.6″ screen and it integrates a GPS receiver. And to top it all off it has Garmin Mobile PC powered navigation system. What else could Navigadget ask for! This is it. It is called Fujitsu LifeBook U820.
There are two versions of U820. One for $1300 and the other for $1000. The main difference being Vista Business vs Vista Home and a bigger HDD. The common features are as follows:

The standard GPS lingerie retails for £500 and the ones with more advance GPS system is priced at £700. Perhaps more tech-savvy (read: paranoid) women will buy this high-tech lingerie for safety reasons, or it could also be perfect for jealous husbands who want to track their wifes in secret
